Your account is identified only by an account "username", a valididated email address, and a "display name". Your real name is not required. Of course, you can always enter your full name in your profile settings to help your friends find you on facebake! However, that decision is yours.

Unlike some other social networking sites, any profile information entered in Facebake is not designed to be viewed by web crawlers, search engines, or the "general public". In order to access any user profile data stored in facebake you must be a member of facebake.

Facebake was built to encorporate multiple levels of privacy on every section of content. Every profile setting and "nugget" has an individual privacy setting allowing you to control who sees what. In addition to letting you limit content visible to your friends, facebake allows you to setup custom "collections" of users for privacy control. Only want your closest friends to see your status? Put them in a custom collection and set your status's privacy settings to only allow them access. It's that simple.

Facebake does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for Facebake or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on Facebake.

In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend's email address. We will send your friend an email or instant message in your name inviting him or her to visit the site, and may send up to two reminders to them. Facebake stores this information to send invitations and reminders, to register a friend connection if your invitation is accepted, to allow you to see invitations you have sent, and to track the success of our referral program. When you register with Facebake, you create your own profile and privacy settings. Your profile information, as well as your "display name", profile picture and thumbnail are displayed to people who search for you to enable you to connect with people on Facebake.
